EY Foundation Wadi Rum 2023

EY Foundation Wadi Rum 2023

About us

Important Event Update

Due to the ongoing situation in Israel and Gaza our Wadi Rum trek has been cancelled. The decision has been taken due to concerns for safety, a fast-changing situation locally and the reflection that undertaking this challenge, at this time, in an area within such proximity to conflict would not be appropriate.

The EY Foundation greatly appreciates everyone who has donated, as well as our hard-working fundraisers. Please contact them directly if you have any further questions.

Event details

18th November 2023  to 25th November 2023

Our participants will be taking on a 100km trek through the Valley of the Moon (Wadi Rum) with some of the most exhilarating and rugged landscapes in Jordan, culminating with a trek in to Petra, the incredible ancient Nabataean city and UNSECO World Heritage Site which dates back to the second century BC.

They will visit the Treasury (Al-Khazneh), one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. After exploring the capital city of Amman, they will then head south to Mount Nebo (where Moses first saw the Promised Land) and on to the Dead Sea, whose shores mark the lowest place on earth (430m below sea level). They will then head to Wadi Rum and start a spectacular five day trek though some of the most incredible scenery, camping at night under a sea of stars.
